
Campus Mental Health Action Tracker Grants
The Campus Mental Health Action Tracker (“the Tracker”) Grants provide funding to support post-secondary institutions in onboarding to and using the Campus Mental Health Action Tracker, specifically in completing their assessments as part of their work to document their progress with regards campus mental health and/or align their policies and practices with the National Standard for Mental Health and Well-Being for Post-Secondary Students (“the Standard”). The grants are intended to help institutions address practical barriers to completing their Tracker assessment, engagement, data collection, and planning.

Funding available

Existing Tracker users may apply for a
$2,500 grant. Five will be awarded.
New Tracker users may apply for a
$7,500 grant. Five will be awarded.
Grant period: Funded activities are expected to be completed within 12 months of award.
Who can apply
Existing Tracker users are institutions that have already signed a Data Sharing Agreement and established an institutional Tracker account before the grant call launched. To apply, existing users must have:
- A current and active data sharing agreement (DSA) (i.e., signed within the previous 3 years).
- Entered a response to at least one Tracker item by the application deadline.
- Identify a staff lead for the funded activities.
- Agree to update their Tracker assessment during the grant period.
- Complete a short follow-up survey.
- Provide a brief final update on activities and use of funds.
New Tracker users are institutions that have not yet established an institutional Tracker account. To apply, new users must:
- Identify a senior sponsor or responsible institutional unit.
- Commit to signing the Data Sharing Agreement and establishing a Tracker account within 30 days of receiving a conditional award.
- Begin their Tracker assessment during the grant period.
- Complete a short follow-up survey.
- Provide a brief final update on activities and use of funds.
Eligible uses of funds
Grant funds may support activities directly related to completing Tracker assessments. Eligible expenses may include staff time or temporary backfill, student or research assistant support, working group or assessment sessions, honoraria, consultation, data gathering, and internal reporting. Funds cannot be used for activities unrelated to completing Tracker assessments.
How to apply
Applicants will complete a short expression-of-interest form describing how the funds would support Tracker onboarding, assessment, engagement, planning, or use of results. The form is intended to be low-burden and should take approximately 15–20 minutes to complete.
Application review and selection
Applications will be reviewed for eligibility, relevance, and feasibility. Eligible applications will be entered into random draws, with geographic representation considered where possible. No institution may receive more than one grant.
Grant payments will be issued after the signing of a short grant agreement. For new Tracker users, payment will also follow signing of the Data Sharing Agreement and establishment of a Tracker account.
